CAA recruits James Simmons as an agent in the Global Touring division, based in the London office. He comes from WME where he worked with Mumford & Sons, Little Simz, James Blake, Nilüfer Yanya, and Rex Orange County.

Touré Shiver is moving from Columbia Records to Republic as VP of Marketing Strategy, where he'll focus on the hip-hop and R&B roster. At Columbia, he worked closely with Tyler, the Creator and Pharrell Williams. At Republic, he'll be focused on the hip-hop and R&B side of the roster.

Heather Vassar has been appointed as The Orchard's new Senior Vice President, Nashville. She comes from EMPIRE, where she launched their Nashville division and helped break Shaboozey, CeCe, and Wyatt Flores. She will continue to run her own venture, Casual Media Partners.

Three industry veterans are joining forces to launch HEY NOW Records, a new independent label out of Nashville. Kris Lamb, who spent time at Big Machine Label Group and Disney's Lyric Street Records, steps in as President. Former Warner Music Nashville chairman John Esposito comes on as co-founder and advisor, and Clint Higham rounds out the founding trio. Their first signing is Kenny Chesney.

Love Renaissance (LVRN) made three hires in one swing. Erica Grayson, who comes out of SOCAN, takes on SVP of Global A&R. Selitta Legrand (previously at Saban and Empire) joins as Head of Business & Legal Affairs. And Angela Alvino, a Razor & Tie veteran, comes on as VP of Accounting & Operations.

Former A&R exec Brittany Perry, who previously worked at Warner Chappell and Sony Music Publishing, has launched GATELESS, a new platform designed to connect artists and A&Rs with unreleased songs from professional songwriters. The library already includes work by writers with cuts from Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, and Cardi B.
