Warner Chappell Appoints Edward Matthew VP, International A&R, Scandinavia

Warner Chappell Music (WCM) has appointed Edward Matthew Vice President, International A&R and Head of Creative, WCM Scandinavia.

The role:

• In this dual role Matthew will focus on driving international collaborations, connecting WCM’s roster of songwriters with opportunities across Warner Music Group’s global network.

• He will report to Shani Gonzales (Managing Director, WCM UK & Head of International A&R) and Lars Karlsson, Managing Director, WCM Scandinavia.

Backstory:

• After relocating from the US to Sweden, Matthew founded publishing and management company Lilly Raye Music in 2019.

• Lilly Raye established a joint venture with WCM in the same year.

• The company has become a major player in songwriter development and bridging the gap between Scandinavian talent and the global stage.

• Last year Lilly Raye Music earned three GRAMMY nominations, achieved more than 10 Swedish Number 1s, and collaborated with artists such as BANKS, Doechii, GloRilla, and FLO.
