


Jack White Selling Part of Catalog to Sony Music?
The deal covers releases from throughout his career
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jack White has sold a stake in his catalog to Sony Music.
The details:
Quoting an anonymous source familiar with the matter, the Reporter says it’s unclear exactly how much of his catalog White has sold, but that the deal was closed earlier in the summer.
It is said to cover music from The White Stripes and his solo output, as well as his projects The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.
It does not cover any future recordings.
Neither Sony nor White have commented.

White found fame in the early 2000s via Detroit duo The White Stripes, with whom he released six albums and landmark singles such as “Seven Nation Army.”
