TikTok Launches Competition for Emerging Artists: Music On Stage '25
The new contest will be hosted through TikTok LIVE
TikTok LIVE has announced its first global competition for music creators: Music On Stage '25. Entrants from over 23 regions will have a chance to compete for song production, publishing, and promotional support from SoundOn, TikTok’s digital music distribution and promotion service.
Music On Stage '25:
The competition is focused on emerging artists and music creators.
TikTok breakout Sam Ryder will host.
The Regional Finals will happen August 29-31. Contestants who reach this phase will compete in "Take the Stage" battles streamed live in-app.
Audience votes, small gifts, and judges' bonus points will decide who moves on.
Regional Finals winners will go on to the Global Finals LIVE.
Two editions of the Global Finals will take place. One in Seoul on September 19 for Asia-Pacific contestants. The other is in London on September 27 for contestants from the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
In addition to support from SoundOn, winners will perform at TikTok LIVE Fest in 2026.
What they said:
Shen Gao, Head of LIVE Operations at TikTok LIVE: "TikTok LIVE is one of the most exciting spaces for artists right now as a launchpad for musical talent. It's where fans can connect with music in real time, share moments, and support their favourite performers directly. Music On Stage takes that energy global."
