


Netflix and Spotify Announce New Video Podcast Collaboration
The streaming giants are seeking to rein in YouTube’s dominance
Spotify and Netflix are partnering to bring sports, culture, lifestyle and true crime video podcasts from Spotify Studios and The Ringer to Netflix.
The deal:
Will come into effect in the US in early 2026, with other markets to follow.
Shows will include The Rewatchables, The Zach Lowe Show, The Dave Chang Show, Serial Killers and more.
Why now:
Video podcasts have grown in popularity, with a poll by Cumulus Media revealing 72% of podcast listeners prefer shows with video.
YouTube is currently the most popular platform through which to consume them.
