Will come into effect in the US in early 2026, with other markets to follow.
Shows will include The Rewatchables, The Zach Lowe Show, The Dave Chang Show, Serial Killers and more.
Why now:
Video podcasts have grown in popularity, with a poll by Cumulus Media revealing 72% of podcast listeners prefer shows with video.
YouTube is currently the most popular platform through which to consume them.
What they said:
Roman Wasenmüller, VP and Head of Podcasts at Spotify: “This partnership marks a new chapter for podcasting. Together with Netflix, we’re expanding discovery, helping creators reach new audiences, and giving fans around the world the chance to experience the stories they love and uncover favorites they never expected.
