Live Nation to Operate New 6000+ Amphitheater in Cleveland
Says it will generate $59 million in annual economic impact
Live Nation will operate a new 6,200 capacity venue in downtown Cleveland, having partnered with developer Bedrock and Rock Entertainment Group.
The details:
The venue will be situated on the Cuyahoga River, adjacent to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center.
It will be the first new large music venue built in Cleveland in more than 20 years.
The amphitheater will showcase a range of performances across genres, from national headliners to global touring acts and local artists.
It’s estimated it will generate nearly $59 million in annual economic impact, as per the media release.
Its construction is part of a wider project to revitalize The Riverfront, which consists of 35 acres of underutilized land along the Cuyahoga River and historic Tower City.
What they said:
Michael Belkin, Live Nation Ohio Market President: “Cleveland has always been one of America’s great music cities, and this amphitheater is about raising the bar to match that legacy. By creating a modern, leading outdoor venue on the riverfront, we’re giving artists another reason to play Cleveland, giving fans more of the shows they want close to home. This investment not only honors the city’s rock ‘n’ roll roots, it positions Cleveland to compete with other regional markets for the biggest tours in the country.”
