TAIT Acquires Silent House to Expand Live Experience Empire

The companies have previously partnered on events such as the Eras tour

Staging and live event engineering company TAIT has acquired Silent House Group, the Emmy Award-winning creative agency and production studio.

Backstory:

  • TAIT has provided technology and equipment for concert touring and other live events since 1978.

  • Founded in 2010, Silent House is one of the industry’s premier production studios and creative agencies.

  • The companies have partnered informally for years, working on large scale events such as Taylor Swift’s Eras tour and the Backstreet Boys’ recent Sphere residency.

The deal:

  • TAIT’s technical execution will be integrated with Silent House’s creative design and production management.

  • As per Digital Music News, the merger aims to give artists, brands and promoters a comprehensive platform for touring, experiential and broadcast productions.

  • The aim is to simplify development by integrating creative vision with technical execution and budgeting from the start of each project.

  • Adam Davis will continue as CEO of TAIT.

  • Silent House Founder and CEO Baz Halpin will lead the new creative and production divisions within TAIT.

  • TAIT operates 24 global offices and works across 30 countries.

What they said:

  • Baz Halpin (to Variety): “We have been in each other’s lives intimately for 20-something years. Increasingly, our vision for the industry, the future, and what interests us has been more and more aligned. So as we at Silent House looked to grow and develop and enter our next phase, and we looked at potential strategic partners, this made the most sense.”
