Ticketmaster Cancels Harry Styles Resale Tickets

Listings to his ‘One Night Only’ show on unauthorized resale sites are being voided

Tickets to Harry Styles’ ‘One Night Only’ show at Manchester’s Co-Op Live that have been listed on unauthorized resale platforms will be canceled by Ticketmaster, as per The Ticketing Business.

Special show:

  • In support of his upcoming new album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, Styles will play 12 shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.

  • His only other UK date is a one off at Manchester’s Co-Op Live, for which tickets were sold for £20 (USD$27).

Rules of sale:

  • Ticketmaster announced on X that it is working with Styles’ team to cancel and refund orders that have violated the rules of sale.

  • It stated: “As all tickets are non-transferable, any tickets listed on unauthorised resale sites are void and will not get fans into the show – so we’re cancelling and refunding these.”

  • It added: “There is also a ticket limit of two tickets per person, so any orders above that are being cancelled and refunded.”

  • The post reminded fans that tickets can only be resold on Ticketmaster for up to £20 plus fees.

  • The Ticketing Business says canceled tickets will be reallocated to select fans whose original request was not fulfilled. They will be contacted by email for a chance to purchase the tickets.

Via-no-no:

  • In its post, Ticketmaster made specific mention of Viagogo, which it says houses the majority of unauthorized listings.

  • It says it has asked Viagogo to stop listing the tickets, but that ultimately the platform controls what’s on the site.

  • The secondary marketplace responded by telling The Ticketing Business: “Ticket resale is legal and highly regulated in the UK. Attempts to restrict resale by the primary, who control 94% of the market are anti-competitive, risk entrenching monopolies, and push fans toward unregulated channels without consumer protections.”

  • It added: “Viagogo is a marketplace where sellers set prices and fans ultimately choose tickets that meet their budget; prices naturally fluctuate based on supply and demand.”
