The company was founded by industry veteran Livia Tortella
Marketing agency Black Box has turned 10, celebrating the occasion with a Decade Masquerade at Studio Eleven 43 in Los Angeles on Wednesday November 12.
Decade of connection:
With a motto of “know yourself, know your fans, build your business,” Black Box connects artists with fans through digital strategy, branding, and partnerships.
Previous and existing artist clients include Janelle Monáe, Colbie Caillat, Estelle, maryjo, Death Cab For Cutie, Ice Nine Kills, Linda Perry & 4 Non Blondes, and more.
Previous and existing corporate clients include YouTube, 10th Street Entertainment, Red Light Management, Merlin, Universal, Atlantic, Sony Music Nashville, 300 Entertainment and more.
This year Black Box drove seven-figure fan-driven revenue for its clients, separate from streaming royalties.

Livia Tortella’s career stretches across music marketing, artist development and corporate strategy at labels such as PolyGram Canada, Island Def Jam Music Group, Atlantic Records and Warner Bros. Records, where she was Co-President.
She has also executive produced numerous soundtracks including Twilight, Transformers, and World War Z.
