Justice, Gesaffelstein Managers Back New Music Biz Master’s Degree

The program targets emerging markets such as LATAM and Asia

Justice manager Christian De Rosnay and Gesaffelstein manager Alexandra Pilz Hayot are patrons of a new master’s degree in international music business launched by the Rennes School of Business and French creative industries management school, EMIC.

Why it matters:

  • The English-taught degree, which launches in September, is the first program of its kind in France.

  • While similar degrees in the US and UK focus on driving talent into their own established domestic networks, this MSc is specifically designed to address the operational, technological and strategic needs of emerging markets such as LATAM, Asia, India and MENA.

The lecturers:

  • 11 executives will deliver 200 hours of modules.

  • They include Jean-Christophe Bourgeois, General Manager at Sony Music Publishing France; Caroline Champarnaud, Executive Director International at Sacem; Anne Hindermeyer, former Head of Legal at Believe; and a special masterclass session from Antoine Monin, MD of Spotify for Western Europe.

Timeline:

  • Applications are currently open, with international students having until July 1 to apply for the September 2026 intake.

What they said:

  • Daniel Findikian, Founder and Director of EMIC: “With this incredible lineup of teaching staff, we are giving young talent from around the world direct access to the people shaping the market today, alongside the keys to building a lasting international career in the music business.”
