Community Garden Connects Indie Artists with Funding Opportunities

Melbourne talent management agency Tall Poppy MGMT has developed Community Garden, a new online hub to help Australia’s emerging artists discover grants, competitions, festivals, mentoring programs and career pathways.

• Community Garden brings together more than 100 opportunities into a single searchable platform to facilitate easier discovery.

Backstory:

• Community Garden was founded by music manager Mikaela Copland, and though it sits outside Tall Poppy MGMT’s core talent management business, its founder sees it as a natural extension of the agency’s purpose.

Inclusive opportunities:

• Community Garden offers the ability to search opportunities by identity, making it easier for First Nations, LBGTQIAPN+, female and gender-diverse, disabled and culturally diverse musicians to discover programs designed specifically for them.

• Musicians can also subscribe to the free Community Garden newsletter for up-to-date opportunities and industry news.
