Forget 12 Inches: Tiny Vinyl Releases Four-Inch Singles
The Rolling Stones, Doechii, Chappell Roan and more are on the release schedule
Start-up Tiny Vinyl is producing four-inch singles that play on regular turntables at 33rpm.
But... why?
In addition to the collectability factor, Tiny Vinyl flags the environmental benefits – the records are made from bio-attributed vinyl and use 15g of material per single, in contrast with the 140g needed for a 12-inch album.
How it works:
Each side can hold one song up to four minutes in length.
The company has partnered with Target, who will be stocking releases from the Rolling Stones, Doechii, Frank Sinatra, Lola Young, Gracie Abrams, Mötley Crüe and more.
Britney Spears, Doja Cat, Black Sabbath and Bruno Mars will reportedly be releasing Tiny Vinyl singles soon.
Each release retails for $14.99.
Though only available in the US there are plans to expand into the UK.
