AIP Launches UK Music Promoter Diversity Database

The database highlights a diverse spectrum of live music promoters

The Association of Independent Promoters (AIP) has launched a diversity database that features a wide spectrum of live music promoters currently operating in the UK.

The database:

  • More than 40 promoters have opted in at launch, across a spectrum of people who are women/non-binary, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, d/Deaf and disabled, and ethnically diverse.

  • The resource has been developed by AIP in association with Women In CTRL, LOUDWOMEN, Black Lives In Music, MVT, AIF, AIE, LIVE, The FAC, Attitude Is Everything and Tonic Music.

  • It is designed to become a go-to resource for venues, agents, artists, journalists, conference organizers and gig-goers who want to strike a diverse balance in their businesses, programs, coverage and experiences.

  • The database will be updated every year. Active UK based live promoters can sign up here.

  • The existing database is here.

What they said:

  • Anna Moulson, Co-Chair: “We’re pleased that so many promoters from underrepresented groups have signed up to the database for the launch, and hope it will encourage many more to do the same going forward. This is an important first step in creating a more diverse and inclusive live music industry.”
