TikTok LIVE has announced the return of Music on Stage, its global music program dedicated to discovering emerging artists, and helping them build fans and make the transition from livestream performances to real-world music careers.
How it works:
Music on Stage features music creators from more than 20 regions around the world.
Auditions began on 15 August with a special All-Day Global Relay Concert, a three-day event that featured artist performances.
The 2026 Global Finals will be held in September and hosted by British singer-songwriter Cat Burns for the EMEA and Americas competition, while Thai singer-songwriter Songkarn will host the APAC finals.
The prize:
The top creators will gain access to professional development opportunities in partnership with SoundOn, TikTok’s all-in-one music distribution and artist services platform.
This includes the opportunity to record and release original music with full production, distribution and promotional support.
The winners will also have the chance to perform at festivals such as TikTok LIVE Fest, Breakaway Carolina Festival, and the All Things Go NYC Festival.
What they said:
Shen Gao, Head of LIVE Operations, Americas, at TikTok: “Music on Stage reflects everything that makes TikTok LIVE unique. Every day we see talented artists build genuine communities, develop loyal fanbases and share their music with audiences around the world in real time. This program takes that one step further by giving emerging artists the opportunity not only to be discovered, but to develop sustainable careers beyond the platform. We're proud to help the next generation of music talent move from livestreams to record releases and festival stages.”
