


TikTok Announces TikTok for Artists
TikTok's new artist platform offers analytics and pre-release tools globally.
TikTok has announced the global launch of TikTok for Artists, after trialing it in beta across a small group of artists in Australia, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea.
How it works:
TikTok for Artists provides daily updated analytics dashboards containing data about the performance of an artist's music and posts on TikTok, as well as follower insights such as self-declared gender, age and language.
It also offers step-by-step guides to TikTok's tools and features.
The announcement brings with it the launch of the Pre-Release tool, giving artists the ability to promote their upcoming album on TikTok.
It also allows fans to pre-save the album directly to their Spotify or Apple Music library.
The fine print:
Users must have a certified TikTok Artist Account to access the platform.
Artists can then grant access to their teams and labels.

In January, former President Joe Biden signed legislation mandating that ByteDance, the Chinese parent company of TikTok, divest its US operations or face a nationwide ban.
President Trump has extended the deadline twice. The current due date is June 19.
