Shazam Launches on ChatGPT

Shazam, the Apple-owned app that helps users identify music by analyzing a short sample of audio, is now available on ChatGPT.

What it means:

• Users can ask Shazam to identify music without leaving ChatGPT, even if Shazam isn’t installed on the device.

• If the app is installed, songs identified using ChatGPT are added to the Shazam app library for future access.

• The move follows Apple Music’s integration with ChatGPT in December.

How it works:

• Users can add Shazam to ChatGPT by opening the ChatGPT settings, navigating to apps, selecting Shazam and linking the accounts.

• After installation, users can invoke Shazam by starting a request with “Shazam.”

• Shazam for ChatGPT is available worldwide on iOS, Android and the web.
