Miranda Lambert’s Catalog Acquired by Sony Music Publishing/Domain Capital
The deal covers the GRAMMY winner’s complete back catalog of songs
Sony Music Publishing (SMP) Nashville has partnered with Atlanta-based Domain Capital Group to acquire the catalog of GRAMMY-winning artist and songwriter Miranda Lambert.
Why it matters:
Lambert is one of country music’s most successful artists and songwriters.
Her catalog includes Number 1 singles such as “White Liar,” “Bluebird,” “Over You”, and “Heart Like Mine.”
It also includes seven Number 1 solo albums including Platinum, The Weight of These Wings, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Kerosene.
In addition, Lambert has written for artists such as Morgan Wallen (“Thought You Should Know”) and Lainey Wilson (“Good Horses,” on which she is a featured artist).
Lambert’s catalog also serves as the inspiration for a forthcoming project being developed by Sony Pictures Television for Hulu.
Moving forward:
SMP Nashville and Domain have also signed a go-forward publishing deal with Lambert, covering future works.
Previous form:
SMP and Domain previously partnered on a catalog deal with multi award-winning songwriter Ashley Gorley.
As per Music Business Worldwide, in 2025 SMP secured a global administration agreement with Nashville’s Sea Gayle Music and Domain Capital Group.
What they said:
Pete Chiappetta, Managing Director, Domain Capital Group: “Miranda Lambert’s many awards and accolades are a testament to her ability to create impactful songs and her catalog is full of them. We are excited to be able to partner with her as well as Rusty and the incredible team at Sony Music Publishing and see what Miranda does next. This catalog is a meaningful addition to Domain’s country music portfolio and reflects our continued focus on investing in timeless songs and the writers who create them.”
