Mercury Records Promotes Tyler Arnold & Ben Adelson
Former Republic Interns Now Lead Mercury Records as CEO and COO
Mercury Records announced key executive promotions in Tyler Arnold, who has been elevated to Chairman and CEO, and Ben Adelson, who has been promoted to President and COO.
Why it matters:
Both Arnold and Adelson started as interns at Republic
Arnold very early on signed Post Malone & Metro Boomin while Adelson managed a nascent Young the Giant, as well as signed Noah Kahan & Lord Huron
The duo held positions of president and GM of Mercury back when they relaunched in 2022
Monte and Avery Lipman explained that with Mercury, "they are building a legacy that honors the label's history by developing, breaking and supporting the next generation of career-defining artists."
What to watch:
With a successful track record for breaking talented acts at the inception of their careers, will likely continue to build their "authentic and dynamic roster" with backing from Monte & Avery Lipman
Now at the helm of the label, Mercury is poised for some strategic initiatives that could redefine its role in the industry
