LiveOne Sued by Sony Music Over Unpaid Licensing Fees

US streaming organization LiveOne is being sued by Sony Music, which alleges that LiveOne and its streaming service Slacker Radio owe the label $2.6 million.

The details:

  • According to Music Ally, LiveOne stopped making licensing payments to Sony in August 2024.

  • Sony then ended the licensing deal, but claims more than 200 tracks by Sony artists are still available on the services.
