Kirk Franklin
Gospel music legend Kirk Franklin is partnering with Insignia Assets, a collaborative media and entertainment company founded by Norman Gyamfi and Jonathan Jay.
The deal:
The collaboration unites Franklin's Fo Yo Soul Recordings and his media production company CLTRE Lab with Insignia's portfolio.
That portfolio includes Christian and gospel label Tribl Records, the Maverick City Music collective, as well as R&B label Platform Sounds. It also contains a touring division in Undivided Entertainment, a marketing arm in Icho Group, and 3 Diamonds Entertainment for TV and film.
Franklin will serve as Insignia Assets' Chief of Creative Services.
Next moves:
To mark the deal Franklin will release his new single "Do It Again" on June 6.
CLTRE Lab and 3 Diamonds Entertainment will produce Den of Kings, a dinner conversation series hosted by Franklin that will debut on his YouTube channel on Father's Day.
What they said:
Franklin: "This partnership... is about building a platform where our stories, our faith, and our culture can live and breathe across every screen and stage."
