Good Boy Records and Virgin Renew Global Distribution Agreement
The renewal comes alongside two new executives joining Good Boy
Good Boy Records, the independent label with artists such as James Blake and Mazie on its roster, has renewed its global distribution deal with Virgin Music Group, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group (UMG). The renewal comes alongside two new executives joining Good Boy.
The new hires:
Sara Connally will serve as Executive Vice President, Head of Sync. Prior to this, she worked at EMI, Bug Music, BMG, and UMG, where she was a core member of one of the first Sync A&R divisions in the industry.
Sarah Fein comes on as Head of Label, overseeing release rollout for the full roster.
What they said:
Good Boy Co-Founders John Zamora and Elie Rizk: “Back in 2021, Virgin took a chance on us when we were a ‘label’ with just three songs out. The entire team at Virgin has been amazing, and we wouldn't be where we are without them. Now, with the additions of Sara Connally and Sarah Fein on our team, we’re building the foundation for the next chapter, one that strengthens our ability to deliver both creative and commercial wins for our artists worldwide.”
Connally: “I’m inspired by the incredible roster of artists John and Elie have built in such a short time, and by their forward-thinking vision in an ever-changing landscape. What excites me is being part of a team that values intentionality, transparency, creativity, and innovation.”
Fein: “As someone who’s always strived to prioritize artistic integrity, Good Boy represents everything I’ve looked for in a record label as a manager. John and Elie have built a beautiful community of true music lovers devoted to helping artists build sustainable careers. To now help lead this team is incredibly fulfilling. I firmly believe there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to what an artist needs, and Good Boy is committed to taking the time to understand each artist’s vision and carve a custom path to bring it to life.”
