Soundplate Acquires Audio Technology Company Stemmer

Independent music company Soundplate has acquired Stemmer, the audio technology company that powers AI music mastering services for over 20 music platforms and websites. The acquisition follows a long-standing partnership between the two companies.

• Soundplate has brought Stemmer’s audio algorithms entirely in-house.

• Its engineering team has extracted Stemmer’s core algorithms and built a completely new, proprietary serverless mastering API from the ground up.

• This serverless architecture now powers Soundplate’s consumer-facing tools, including its redesigned online mastering tool, vinyl mastering engine, and AI stem splitter.

• Soundplate will continue supporting Stemmer’s legacy white-label services, ensuring no disruption for existing recording, distributor, and online platform customers.
