Billie Eilish Donates $11.5 Million of Tour Revenue
This is the latest of Eilish's prominent charitable efforts
After being on the road since September 2024, Billie Eilish is wrapping up her HIT ME HARD AND SOFT TOUR on November 23. She has announced she will be donating $11.5 million from her earnings to charity.
The details:
The proceeds will go to Eilish's Changemaker Program, which supports charities addressing climate change and food insecurity.
Eilish launched the initiative alongside REVERB, a climate action organization she has partnered with for many years to reduce the music industry’s carbon footprint.
REVERB implemented numerous programs throughout the tour as well.
Background:
Eilish announced the donation as she accepted the Music Innovator Award at the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards.
Eilish took the opportunity to condemn billionaires in the room, including Mark Zuckerberg, regarding their immense wealth.
What they said:
Eilish: “We’re in a time right now where the world is really, really bad and really dark, and people need empathy and help more than, kind of, ever, especially in our country. I’d say if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things, maybe give it to some people that need it.”
“Love you all, but there’s a few people in here that have a lot more money than me. If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but yeah, give your money away, shorties.”
