Amazon Music Launches 'Fan Groups' to Spark Discovery and Connection
The feature aims to make the listening experience interactive
Amazon Music has started rolling out Fan Groups, a feature that creates dedicated communities for listeners to discover, share, discuss and listen to music recommended by like-minded fans, all within the app.
How it works:
The Amazon Music app on iOS and Android will feature dedicated, interactive communities.
Users can start conversations with other listeners by joining ongoing chat threads, making new posts, using emoji reactions, and creating new groups and communities.
Fans can instantly share and stream suggested songs, combining music discussion with music discovery, all within the app.
The launch:
The new feature is launching in beta for customers in Canada, with plans to roll it out in the US and additional markets worldwide early in 2026.
Several active groups have been created organically to kickstart the initial beta launch in Canada.
The groups span diverse genres, from indie rock to country, Punjabi to K-pop and more.
All Fan Groups are public, and anyone can create a new group, including artists who want to connect directly with their fans.
