The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Co-founded by Paul Tollett and Rick Van Santen in 1999, it's organized by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Presents. Starting as a two-day event with Beck and Rage Against the Machine as headliners, Coachella has evolved into one of the world's most influential music festivals, featuring diverse genres and attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees across two weekends each April.
