Capitol Records

Capitol Records is an American major record label founded in 1942 by songwriter Johnny Mercer, producer Buddy DeSylva, and businessman Glenn Wallichs. Based in Hollywood, it was the first major West Coast record label and became home to legendary artists like Frank Sinatra and The Beatles. Acquired by EMI in 1955, it's now part of Universal Music Group's Capitol Music Group.
