TikTok Drops New ‘Bulletin Board’ Broadcast Channels for Creators
The feature is available to all creators over 18 with at least 50K followers
TikTok has unveiled ‘bulletin board,’ an in-app channel that helps creators communicate and share content directly with their followers.
What it means:
Bulletin board is a one-to-many broadcast channel which makes it quick and easy to share news, updates and content with followers.
Artists and musicians on TikTok can use the bulletin board to share new music with fans or invite them to pre-save an upcoming release.
Fans can then save the song or album to their favorite streaming service courtesy of TikTok’s Add to Music App discovery feature.
It has been trialed in beta by a wide range of artists such as the Jonas Brothers as well as publishers such as People Magazine and the Paris Saint-Germain football team.
How it works:
To create a bulletin board, creators go to their inbox and select ‘create a bulletin board.’
They then select ‘Create.’
To join a bulletin board, fans simply go to the creator’s profile page and click the bulletin board’s name.
They will then receive notifications in their inbox whenever the creator posts.
What they said:
A TikTok statement: “We're excited to see how this tool empowers creators to engage, create, and grow their communities even further.”
