Ticketmaster has launched Ignite, an end-to-end venue app for two UK arenas. The purpose of the app is to have every digital venue service, such as ticketing and entry, in one platform.
How it works:
Users can buy tickets, access venue maps, order food, receive real-time show updates, and perform other functions within the app.
Venues can use an individually branded app developed by Ticketmaster or add white-label information to a venue-developed app.
The app is available at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield.
Vaillant Live in Derby will have the app soon.
Both venues are under the Legends Global umbrella, but Ticketmaster has told IQ that venues outside Legends Global will begin using the app as well.
Ignite is already being used in Australia, South Africa, and the United States.
What they said:
Catrin White, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Legends Global Europe: “In live entertainment, the fan experience is paramount in everything that we do, and that experience starts from the moment a ticket is purchased. Teaming up with Ticketmaster’s Ignite will further enhance the fan’s experience, making it more seamless than ever. By harnessing Ignite, we now have a single, integrated platform that simplifies operations and improves reliability at scale.”
Ticketmaster UK Managing Director Sarah Slater: “Ticketing has long moved on from being a single transaction – it’s now a continuous cycle, from understanding demand before a show is announced through to how fans engage on the day and beyond. Ignite connects that journey. Venues can now see who attended, how they experienced the event, and what they engaged with – so they can make better decisions that will improve the fan experience.”
