Ticketmaster Entertainment, LLC is an American ticket sales and distribution company founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 1976 by college staffers Peter Gadwa, Albert Leffler, Gordon Gunn III, and businessman Jerry Nelson. Originally licensing computer programs and selling hardware for ticketing systems, Ticketmaster has grown to become the world's leading ticketing platform, processing over 500 million tickets annually across 30+ countries. The company is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Live Nation Entertainment and controls over 70% of the global ticket market.
