The Recording Academy Brings GRAMMY House to Giza

It’s the first time the event has occurred outside the US

The Recording Academy has announced it will launch GRAMMY House Giza in October 2026, uniting music creators from across the globe against the backdrop of the Great Pyramids.

The details:

  • The multi-day event will gather artists, producers, songwriters and music leaders from around the world.

  • The immersive experience will feature live performances, cultural exchanges, and educational programming.

  • It is being produced in conjunction with Taitan Capital Japan and Global Entertainment Holdings.

  • Having previously run GRAMMY House events in Los Angeles and New York, the Giza edition marks its first international expansion.

Legal issues:

  • Last week it was reported that Cairo-based NGO The Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights (ECESR) has filed a lawsuit to prevent future shows taking place at the Great Pyramids of Giza for fear they are damaging the structures.

  • It remains to be seen if this will have any bearing on GRAMMY House Giza.

What they said:

  • Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy: “It is a thrill to expand the GRAMMY House experience globally, and to see it come to life at one of the world’s most iconic locations. GRAMMY House Giza represents the spirit of the Recording Academy’s vision to amplify music people worldwide and create meaningful gathering places for our entire music community. Next year’s event will be a beacon of collaboration, discovery and inspiration, and will continue to connect us to the creators, innovators, and fans who are shifting and shaping culture.”
