Spotify has unveiled its latest feature, ‘listening stats,’ allowing users to relive their week in music in a shareable snapshot.
The details:
The feature is available to Free and Premium users in more than 60 markets globally.
It shows users their top artists and songs from the past four weeks, and serves up playlists inspired by them.
Each week it also includes a special highlight that captures what makes a user’s listening unique, be it a milestone, new discovery, or fan moment.
Users can share their stats directly from the app with friends on Spotify or externally on Instagram, WhatsApp and more.
How it works:
By clicking on their profile image, users open the menu and click the “listening stats” tab.
They can then check out their top artists, songs and insights, and tap Share to post weekly stats or individual highlights.
Also happening:
The launch comes as Spotify faces a lawsuit alleging its recommendation tools are essentially a payola scheme.
