Premium Standard and Student subscription prices are now 30% lower
Spotify has officially lowered the price of its Premium Standard and Student subscriptions in India by 30%. The Premium Platinum tier remains the same price.
Background:
In November 2025, Spotify launched a three-tier subscription structure for India.
This included the newly added Premium Lite tier, which has now been discontinued.
Premium Standard has gone down from ₹199 (approx. $2.24) per month to ₹139 (approx. $1.57) per month.
At ₹139 per month, Premium Standard now costs as much as Premium Lite.
Student decreased from ₹99 per month to ₹69 (approx. $0.78) per month.
The Premium Platinum tier remains at ₹299 (approx. $3.11) per month.
