Splice, the popular music creation platform, will soon offer Spitfire Audio effects and instrument packs as part of its rent-to-own program. This will allow users to pay monthly for well-known professional orchestral sounds such as BBC Symphony Orchestra Professional and the Hans Zimmer collection.
Splice X Spitfire:
Splice purchased Spitfire Audio, another music creation platform specializing in orchestral music and film composition, back in April for $50 million.
This collaboration on Rent-to-Own is the first major joint effort since the acquisition.
Users can access these Rent-to-Own packs via Splice’s plugin marketplace.
What they said:
Kakul Srivastava, CEO of Splice: “Rent-to-Own is one of the most beloved aspects of Splice, and we’re honoured to bring these iconic Spitfire Audio products to our marketplace. These libraries and effects have shaped some of the most memorable scores in modern films and games, and now Splice users can bring that same emotive power to their own work.”
Paul Thomson, Co-Founder of Spitfire Audio: “This is something we've been asked about over the years, and we now have the technological capability to offer this path to ownership. It has been no small feat to make our libraries available via Rent-To-Own, and we look forward to hearing more music made from people using these tools.”
