Hive Secures $27M Series B to Expand Live Event Marketing Platform

The platform serves more than 1,600 venues, promoters, and festivals

Live event marketing platform Hive has secured a $27 million Series B from Frontier Growth.

Capital injection:

  • The company says the capital will accelerate its product roadmap, including the development of AI-powered assistants designed to simplify campaign preparation, reduce repetitive tasks, and help event teams act on data insights to drive ticket sales.

  • It will also be used to deepen Hive’s ticketing and data integrations, expand advertising integrations, and grow its global presence in the live event market.

Backstory:

  • Hive was founded in 2014 by Ian Roberts and Patrick Hannigan.

  • The Y Combinator alumnus provides marketing tools built around live-event data, helping teams reach the right audiences with email, SMS, CRM, and automation tools designed to sell tickets.

  • More than 1,600 venues, promoters, and festivals use Hive, which says it has helped customers generate more than $1 billion in ticket sales.

  • Its more than 40 ticketing integrations include Ticketmaster, AXS, Eventim, Etix, Tixr and DICE.

What they said:

  • Ian Roberts, CEO and Co-Founder of Hive: “Live events have always been a data problem disguised as a marketing problem. For more than a decade, we have built the infrastructure that connects ticket buyers to the people putting on the show. Frontier Growth understands what we have built and where we are headed, and this partnership gives us the resources to bring that vision to every corner of the live industry.”
