Front Gate Tickets, the Austin-based subsidiary of Ticketmaster, has announced a new integration with face-value ticket marketplace CashorTrade, effective immediately.
What it means:
Festival fans can now resell tickets issued by Front Gate via CashorTrade’s fan-to-fan marketplace.
The integration covers festivals such as Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bourbon & Beyond, Lost Lands, and Ultra Music Festival, spanning different ticket types and packages.
The partnership aims to give fans greater confidence that resale tickets are legitimate, while offering festivals a solution for limiting for-profit resale.
How it works:
Tickets are authenticated directly by Front Gate.
Original purchase prices, including fees, are verified against the original transaction, with listings capped at face value or below.
Once sold, the tickets are reissued to buyers in the CashorTrade app.
What they said:
Andrew Sider, EVP of Festivals and General Admission at Ticketmaster: “Festival goers should be able to buy resale tickets for festivals knowing they’re getting the real thing. By extending Front Gate Tickets’ verification process to CashorTrade, we’re giving fans another trusted place to buy and sell legitimate tickets at face value or below.”
