Sound Rink Acquires Stake in Fan Club Pro to Expand Artist Services

The move aims to simplify the process for artists of building and sustaining fan communities

Sound Rink, the VIP and pre-sale service for artists and creators, has acquired a stake in Fan Club Pro, a platform that brings together the tools artists need to build sustainable fan communities.

Why it matters:

  • The move expands Sound Rink’s existing offerings, which connect artists and fans through VIP packages and pre-sales.

  • The managed fan clubs aim to help artists build direct fan relationships and generate revenue without having to oversee the day-to-day operations of a digital community.

How it will work:

  • Using Fan Club Pro’s technology, Sound Rink will establish, maintain and help grow fan communities on behalf of artists, as an extension of its existing pre-sale and VIP offerings.

  • The service will include hands-on operational support, including fan customer service.

  • Sound Rink will help artists set up their clubs and maintain engagement through regular posts, push notifications and email outreach, while providing reports on member engagement and what’s working.

  • It will advise artists on what exclusive content, members-only opportunities, and pre-sales to offer.

  • Through a Stripe integration, any revenue earned from these offerings will go directly to the artist.

  • Sound Rink plans to eventually launch a standalone fan club product that anyone can use.

What they said:

  • Cody DeLong, Co-Founder of Fan Club Pro and Co-Founder and CEO of Sound Rink: “The crew at Fan Club Pro and Sound Rink share the same roots and spirit. We all came from scenes where fans and artists worked together, where people supported each other. We’re taking that same spirit to fan clubs. We just finished moving Dashboard Confessional’s Saints & Sailors fan club, which we’ve managed for years, onto Fan Club Pro, and it’s a great example of what we can now do all in one place. We want fan clubs to feel fun and worthwhile for fans, easier for artists and their teams, and ultimately create stronger connections while generating real revenue.”
