
Primary Wave has partnered with the estate of singer-songwriter Harry Chapin, securing a stake in his catalog and name, image and likeness rights.
The deal:
Included in the partnership is Chapin’s work across 11 albums and 14 singles, covering staples such as “Cat’s in the Cradle,” “Taxi,” “I Wanna Learn a Love Song,” “Sunday Morning Sunshine,” and more.
The estate will gain access to Primary Wave’s marketing team and publishing infrastructure, working on new marketing, branding, digital and sync opportunities, as well as film and television projects.
Financial terms of the deal, and the size of Primary Wave’s stake, have not been disclosed.
