Music Marketing Startup Soundlink Raises $2M

The seed round was led by Create Music Group

Soundlink, the music marketing platform that seeks to solve the attribution problem for music marketing on social media, has raised $2 million in a seed round led by Create Music Group.

Backstory:

  • Soundlink was founded by Sébastien Penot and Ariel Segura, who met while working in Spotify’s product innovation team. It launched in June 2025.

  • The platform was built to solve labels’ inability to link social campaigns to streaming results due to limited data.

  • Since launching it claims to have attributed 250 million streams across campaigns for more than 5,000 artists.

Funds allocation:

  • Soundlink says the $2 million capital will be used to grow its product and engineering team across Latin America, Asia, and Europe.

New launch:

  • Soundlink recently launched Soundlink Organic, claiming it addresses the demand for short-form content.

  • It lets artists turn a single upload into hundreds of clips, schedule them in bulk across TikTok and Instagram Reels, and track performance in real time.

What they said:

  • Stef Van Vugt, Head of Catapult at Create: “We’ve seen firsthand how powerful social platforms [are] for music discovery, but also how limited attribution and measurement are for artists and labels. When Sébastien and Ariel showed us the technology they had built to solve that problem, it was clear that combining their product expertise with our experience in paid music marketing could create something genuinely valuable for the industry.”
