


Mira Chatt Named IFPI Regional Director for Asia

IFPI, the organization that represents the recording industry worldwide, has appointed Mira Chatt as its new Regional Director, Asia.
Her remit:
- As per Music Business Worldwide, Chatt will “oversee IFPI’s work across the broader Asia-Pacific region, coordinating its national group network and supporting member record companies as they continue to invest in and drive industry growth.” 
- She will work closely with IFPI’s Greater China office, led by Regional Director Guo Biao. 
- She will relocate from Delhi to IFPI’s Asia regional office in Singapore in 2026. 
Backstory:
- Chatt’s most recent role was Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy for YouTube India. 
- Prior she was a career diplomat in the Canadian Foreign Service, occupying senior roles across South and Southeast Asia and internationally.
