
IFPI, the organization that represents the recording industry worldwide, has appointed Mira Chatt as its new Regional Director, Asia.
Her remit:
As per Music Business Worldwide, Chatt will “oversee IFPI’s work across the broader Asia-Pacific region, coordinating its national group network and supporting member record companies as they continue to invest in and drive industry growth.”
She will work closely with IFPI’s Greater China office, led by Regional Director Guo Biao.
She will relocate from Delhi to IFPI’s Asia regional office in Singapore in 2026.
Backstory:
Chatt’s most recent role was Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy for YouTube India.
Prior she was a career diplomat in the Canadian Foreign Service, occupying senior roles across South and Southeast Asia and internationally.
