Miley Cyrus Inks Deal with Atlantic Records

The singer-songwriter makes the move from Columbia Records

Miley Cyrus has signed with Atlantic Records.

Fresh start:

  • Cyrus moves to Atlantic from Sony Music’s Columbia, where she released her last two albums, 2023’s Endless Summer Vacation (featuring the GRAMMY-winning single “Flowers”) and 2025’s Something Beautiful.

  • Prior she’d spent more than 10 years recording for RCA.

  • No new music has been confirmed.

Why it matters:

  • The signing is, as The Hollywood Reporter points out, Atlantic’s biggest since Elliot Grainge took over as Chairman and CEO in 2024.

  • It comes several months after Ed Sheeran left the label for UMG’s Interscope Records.
