
International music industry conference BIME returns to Bogotá this week (May 5-7), bringing together those who are leading the Spanish-language music sector and driving its growth and expansion.
Backstory:
This year’s event marks five years since BIME – which began in Bilbao in 2013 – arrived in Bogotá, a move designed to strengthen the connection between the music ecosystems of Europe and Latin America.
Why it matters:
Spanish-language music is currently experiencing rapid global growth.
BIME will tackle the major conversations shaping the present and future of the Ibero-American music industry.
Via BIME Startup it will also bring together entrepreneurs, companies, investors and agents for personalized business matchmaking sessions with international investors.
BIME Live, meanwhile, will feature live performances from more than 50 artists from Bogotá across various venues.
Global industry representation:
ROSTR Co-Founder and CEO Mark Williamson will join other notable figures from the global industry in the lineup at BIME Pro.
