UK independent record labels Distiller Records and Speedy Wunderground have announced a new partnership.
The terms:
Speedy Wunderground will retain full creative autonomy over its A&R and production, while drawing on Distiller Records’ marketing, distribution, and operational scale to amplify its roster.
The partnership launches with the release of Heartworms’ new single, “Guess I’m Stuck In The Dark.”
Label rosters:
Founded by producer Dan Carey, Speedy Wunderground is regarded as one of the UK’s most influential incubators for guitar and alternative music.
It provided an early launchpad for Black Country, New Road, Squid, Black Midi, and English Teacher, among others.
Distiller Records’ roster includes Blossoms, Yonaka, Reverend & The Makers, Sports Team, and The Ramona Flowers.
What they said:
James Moodie, MD at Distiller Records: “I’ve always loved what Dan and the team at Speedy Wunderground have built, it’s a respected label brand that is the very definition of creative integrity and credibility. This partnership is about giving each artist a bigger platform, deeper resources, and the backing to push their incredible talents even further.”
Dan Carey, Founder, Speedy Wunderground: “It's a great partnership as the team at Distiller are really experienced and clearly understand the ethos of Speedy and the way we like to work. We're looking forward to working together on a range of different projects, from very quick turnaround punk records to big campaigns – kicking off with this week's release from Heartworms.”
