Former Polaris Hub Execs Launch Rights Intelligence Consultancy

The agency specializes in music licensing and rights management

Two former executives of Nordic licensing hub Polaris –  Linda Collin, who was Head of International Business Affairs and Licensing, and Åsa Enström, who was Head of Legal – have launched Rights Intelligence, a consultancy firm specializing in music licensing and rights management.

How it works:

  • Rights Intelligence will provide legal expertise and operational experience for organizations looking to build fair, transparent and commercially sound licensing frameworks.

  • The team will provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to CMOs, publishers, labels and tech platforms navigating complex licensing negotiations.

  • They will also help them adapt to developments in AI and regulation.

  • While rooted in the music sector, the company’s mission is to set a standard for modern rights management across all areas of creative IP, preparing for a future where music, audio, video, influencer content and AI-generated works converge in the same product streams.

Timing:

  • The company launches as the EU’s Article 17 has been implemented across Europe.

  • It stipulates that online platforms such as YouTube and Facebook are liable for, and therefore required to license, all music uploaded by fans.

  • Rights Intelligence seeks to help clients capitalize on this shift, recognizing both the value that scale can deliver and the constraints it can create.

What they said:

  • Linda Collin, CEO of Rights Intelligence: “Innovation should never come at the expense of creators’ rights. Our work is grounded in the belief that technology and rights management must move forward together. This launch is about proving that it’s possible to scale new models while remaining fair, compliant, and creator-centric.”
