Dynamite Songs, the England headquartered music publisher founded by former Mojo Music exec Alan Wallis in 2025, has acquired the publishing rights to songs written by GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Joan Osborne and Gemini Award-winning composer Lou Pomanti.
The deals:
Under the deal with Osborne, Dynamite acquires the worldwide publishing rights (co-owned with Universal Music Publishing Group) to all the songs she’s written or co-written, along with her neighboring rights royalties.
That includes songs from her three-times platinum debut album, 1995’s Relish – which includes global hit “One Of Us” – right up to 2023’s Nobody Owns You.
Dynamite’s deal with Pomanti comprises 100% of the writer’s and publisher’s shares of worldwide public performance income for all musical compositions written in whole or in part by Pomanti.
These include his television and film scores, such as those for The Ron James Show and MegaBuilders.
Pomanti is also known for his work with Michael Bublé, Gordon Lightfoot, Anne Murray and Blood, Sweat & Tears vocalist David Clayton-Thomas.
Growing catalog:
Dynamite says these deals add almost 300 works to its portfolio, which now totals over 1,300 songs.
It includes tracks performed by Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Avicii and more.
What they said:
Alan Wallis, CEO, Dynamite Songs: “What unites both these catalogs is the strength of the craft behind them. Ensuring that brilliant songwriting gets the attention and care it deserves has always been central to our work at Dynamite, and I’m so glad that both Joan and Lou have chosen to partner with us.”
