Drake and Rihanna Producer Elkan Enters JV With Avex Music Group
Deal includes Elkan’s full catalog and launch of new venture, Toibox.
Avex Music Group has signed producer Elkan to a global publishing deal. He will also launch his own publishing company, Toibox by Elkan, as a joint venture with Avex.
The main players:
Based in London, Elkan recently produced Drake's hit "Nokia".
He is also a writer and producer on Rihanna's "Friend Of Mine" single from the upcoming Smurfs movie soundtrack, and has worked with artists such as Metro Boomin and Lecrae.
He is signed as an artist to Atlantic Records.
As per Music Business News, the U.S. headquartered Avex Music Group was formed in March by the Tokyo-headquartered Avex Inc. after acquiring 100% of the S10 Music Publishing song catalog and an additional stake in S10 Management.

Elkan's existing and future catalog will be published through Avex Music Group.
Avex will back the signing and development of writer-producers via Toibox, starting with Kavin "Kavin" Smith and Luke "Cobali" Gobrial.
