Black entertainment and events company Cxmmunity Media has secured a six-figure investment from Live Nation Urban.
The partnership:
Live Nation Urban will work closely with The Cxmmunity Foundation, the events company’s philanthropic arm, which is “dedicated to increasing access and long-term opportunities for emerging talent to enter the gaming, esports, and digital entertainment industries.”
The investment will enable the primarily music and gaming-focused Cxmmunity to expand its content production pipeline, as well as its large-scale live activations.
The investment was made through Black Lily Capital Investment Fund, which is designed to support Black entrepreneurs in the entertainment space.
What they said:
Chris Peay, Cxmmunity Media Co-Founder: “A new era of culture-building begins here. We’ve landed some major partnerships in the past, but this one feels right. We set out to shift the media landscape – and we did. Now, with Live Nation Urban, we’re not just pushing our culture forward, we’re changing what Black entertainment looks like today. It’s not just about being the biggest. It’s about being the most impactful, and that’s exactly what we intend to be.”
