Animaj Signs Global Deal with Magic Star, Sony Music Publishing

The family entertainment company boasts 242 million monthly users on YouTube

Kids and family entertainment company Animaj has struck a worldwide music partnership with Magic StarThe Orchard’s children’s and family division – and Sony Music Publishing (SMP) that's designed to scale the commercial impact of its music catalogs.

The deal:

  • Magic Star will manage the global distribution of Animaj’s recordings and masters.

  • SMP will handle the global publishing rights across its songs and compositions.

  • Animaj will retain full ownership of its intellectual property.

  • The agreement includes Animaj’s core kids' and family properties, including Pocoyo, Maya the Bee, HeyKids and Super Sema.

  • Animaj claims to reach 242 million monthly active users on YouTube and boasts the “fifth-largest digital kids’ audience globally.”
