Create Music Group Taps Mitchell Shymansky for Chief Data & Technology Role
The exec spent nearly two decades at Universal Music Group
Mitchell Shymansky has been appointed Chief Data & Technology Officer at Create Music Group (CMG), the music, technology and capital platform for independent artists and labels.
The role:
Shymansky will oversee CMG’s data, analytics and technology structure, “with a focus on building scalable, intelligent systems that enhance artist outcomes, operational efficiency, and long-term platform advantage,” as per CMG’s statement.
Backstory:
Shymansky comes from a near two-decade tenure at Universal Music Group, most recently leading the company’s Global Data & Analytics organization.
His achievements include “architecting and scaling Universal Music Group’s modern data and analytics infrastructure,” developing and launching Universal Music Artists, a first-of-its-kind analytics application for artists at a major label, as well as playing a key role in “applying artificial intelligence and automation to analytics and marketing workflows at Universal Music Group.”
