Edwin Schröter Appointed CEO of [PIAS]

Edwin Schröter has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the [PIAS] Label Group.

Leadership evolution:

• 25-year [PIAS] veteran Schröter was previously Group Managing Director for the [PIAS] Group, where he oversaw both the [PIAS] Label Group and Integral Distribution Services.

• As part of the leadership evolution, [PIAS] Co-Founder Kenny Gates assumes the role of Executive Chairman.

• He will continue to guide the business at a strategic level, while working closely with Schröter, the [PIAS] board and the wider executive team, as per the company’s statement.

Focus:

• The leadership changes come as [PIAS]’ Integral Distribution Services has been combined with Virgin Music Group.

• The move brings together global distribution operations and enables [PIAS] to move forward exclusively as a music-led, artist-first label group with an emphasis on long-term career development, as per the announcement.
