


Chappell Roan Launches The Midwest Princess Project for LGBTQ+ Support
The initiative has raised $400,000 to date
Chappell Roan has launched The Midwest Princess Project, which supports organizations providing resources for trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities.
Donations:
One dollar from every ticket sold to the Los Angeles, New York and Kansas City dates on Roan’s ‘Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things’ pop-up shows will be donated to the organizations.
To date the initiative has already raised $400,000.
Organizations to receive the proceeds include the Ali Forney Center and the LGBT Center in New York; Trans Wellness Center and TransLatin@ Coalition in Los Angeles; and The GLO Center and The Center Project in Missouri, which provide resources for trans youth.
As per Variety, Roan also raised money by partnering with Propeller and eBay to bring bespoke activations in and around her shows.
Donations were also accepted from industry, friends and show guests.
